Education:

Dr. Rey-López received her licenciatura in Spanish Philology from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, Spain in 1990, and pursued graduate studies at University of Colorado at Boulder, where she earned a M.A. degree in Spanish and Latin American Literature in May 1992, and received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature (Dissertation Title: The Shattered Frame in the Boccaccian Tradition of Short Fiction) in May 1998. Dr. Rey-López has taught at University of Colorado at Boulder, and at Wichita State University.


Teaching Interests:

In addition to teaching Spanish language and culture courses in the Multimedia Classrooms of the Metropolitan State College of Denver, her interests include courses in literature and conversation.


Research Interests:

Dr. Lopez' current research involves collections of short fiction in the Renaissance.


Service:

Dr. Lopez serves on the Departmental Curriculum Committee.


Professional Affiliations:

She is active in the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), the Modern Language Association (MLA), and the Colorado Congress of Foreign Language Teachers (CCFLT).
