Why use the web site templates?

The purpose for creating this course and for creating these templates was to give the control of designing online courses back to the instructor. By using this method, your course information will now be presented the way you want it to be and the way students need to see it. E-education software will now take the role of a resource to add to your site. It will no longer provide the format and direction of your course.

The main goals for using templates are:

- To ensure consistency in the online product displayed to students.
- To save instructors time on the computer, creating pages from scratch.

Some additional goals we hope the templates and this workshop will accomplish:

– To teach design principles of e-education.
– To demonstrate good web design practices.
