Which template should I use?

(Based on Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, Incorporated from "Web-Based Training 2nd Edition" by Margaret Driscoll.)

In order to select which template to use, it might be helpful to take a look at your course objectives. Once objectives have been written, it is easy to identify what cognitive skills need to be taught as part of course.

By looking at the cognitive skills that need to be learned, it is easy to select which type of web template will work for your class format.

According to Bloom, Hastings, Madaus (1971) there are six levels of cognitive skills:

Knowledge
Recall of specific information or pieces of information.

Comprehension
Using knowledge without really understanding its impact in the world or relating it to other material.

Application

The ability to take general knowledge and apply it to problem solving.

Analysis
Breaking down a problem or information into parts to arrive at a solution.

Synthesis
The ability to put pieces of information together in order to form a whole.

Evaluation

Taking information or materials and judging its worth to finding a solution.

Use the following Matrix to help select a template.
