This is another
animation that shows how revolving a plane region about the x-axis generates a volume.
(See notes below.)
The region bounded by the curves y = 0, x = –2, x = 2, and y = 1 ⁄ (1 + x2)
is revolved about the x-axis to generate a solid of revolution.
