My background includes a Master of Science Degree in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University where I also earned my Private Pilot License in 1969. After graduation in 1971, the next stop was the Navy where I received Aviator status in 1973. I was an instructor pilot teaching all phases of flight as well as a maintenance officer, supervising the men working on the aircraft. I left the Navy in 1977 and began flying for Frontier Airlines and for a time Frontier Horizon Airlines. After enduring several lay-offs and and flying charter in a Lear jet for a time, I was there to see Frontier close it's doors in 1986. Since then, after heart surgery, I have been teaching at MSCD for 23 years. Along the way came further FAA certificates:

ATP, Type B-727, GS-2, Lear Jet
Commercial glider certificate
tail wheel and glider tow sign-offs
