MS PowerPoint Integration

Introduction

Microsoft PowerPoint is an application in the Microsoft Office Suite. MS PowerPoint is a unique application that provides you with many tools to develop computer-based presentations. The ability to create effective presentations can be used when teaching a class, introducing a product, explaining an organizational structure, or just articulate a message to a small or large group.

MS PowerPoint can provide you with the tools to generate first class presentations to communicate your message clearly and professionally.

Task

Using Microsoft PowerPoint, develop a presentation that is a topic of your choice that linked to your content area. For example, if your licensure/content area is History, you might choose to design a presentation explaining an historical event. Another example might be, if your content area is math, you might want to develop a presentation showcasing the evolution of mathematics. These are just two examples, however, be creative and develop a presentation that is of interest to you and is connected to your licensure/content area.

This should be a professional presentation that articulates your message clearly to your Instructor.

The presentation should utilize the capabilities of PowerPoint with a 9 slide maximum. The PowerPoint should include four of the following applications. The Introductory and Conclusion slides are required within this presentation.

• Introductory Slide (introduce your presentation, include your name and licensure/content area)
• Use of Digital Pictures
• Primary Sources within Adventures of the American Mind
• Use of Sound
• Use of Animation
• Use of Transitions and Builds
• Conclusion slide (summarize your presentation and answer the question, “how this presentation is linked to your licensure/content area”)
