Mission

The TQE grant will be used to strengthen the quality of teacher preparation and retention for urban secondary schools through the development of a strategic and interrelated partnership within and across MSCD and DPS.  Over the five-year term of the grant, TQE will "pilot" the development of the partnership through:

• the re-design and integration of curriculum within and across both systems
• the implementation of field experiences and delivery of secondary and postsecondary instruction to TQE future urban educators at eight designated Urban Apprentice Schools
• the analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the partnership's support of a new "clinical" teaching and learning design.
