2006 Writes of Spring Contest Rules:
All currently enrolled MSCD students are
eligible to participate.

You may enter a
maximum of two categories, but no category more than once.
Þ
Length limits:
Fiction or
Nonfiction: Max of 10 pp,
double-spaced, 12 pt font.
Poetry: One poem not to exceed 50 lines.
Drama: Max of 10 pp — One-act play or excerpt of
longer work.
Þ
Prepare four
copies in proper format (fiction
& nonfiction must be double-spaced,
12 pt font
with numbered pages; poetry must by typed; drama must be in standard
script format
with pages numbered.) Include the title on the manuscript!

Contestant’s
name must not appear on the submission!
Instead, prepare one 3 X 5 index card
with your name, address, phone number,
student ID
number, entry category, and title of submission.
Paper-clip this card to the top of the four copies.
Þ Submissions must be delivered to the English Department
office (KC 402)
by the deadline:

and rankings will not be made available to contestants.
